Hannibal Regional, QMG Now Offer Rapid COVID-19 Testing

A couple of area healthcare facilities now offer rapid COVID-19 testing for groups most at risk for catching coronavirus disease.

Hannibal Regional announces they can now provide rapid COVID testing for priority groups using the Cepheid PCR Analyzer.

The new testing can provide a result within two hours, allowing for quicker quarantine and treatment, or can keep patients from spending unnecessary time in the hospital.

Quincy Medical Group also announced Tuesday it has received a limited supply of the Cepheid COVID-19 rapid testing kits for emergent patients’ needs.
