Well just as deer hunting season gets underway in the Show Me State, officials have announced that apparently Deer can get COVID-19.

According to an article from ky3.com Deer season got a lot more interesting in Missouri due to the fact that dee can get coronavirus. In the article they say that...

"According to a study conducted in four states in the past year by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 40 percent of white-tailed deer tested positive for the virus that causes the illness although none of the deer in the study showed actual symptoms of COVID-19."

BUT I think the most important part of the article states that as of right now these wildlife biologists from the Missouri Department of Conservation are saying that they have no evidence as of this moment that suggest you can get COVID-19 from eating or preparing wild game meat. But they do recommend that you are cooking your wild meat to the proper temperatures and wear gloves while handling the meat. Honestly this is one of those stories that would have shocked me a year ago, but now I just am not surprised by anything and the coronavirus. I do think that it is good to know that deer can have COVID-19 because you'd always rather know than not know, but I feel as though if you are going out hunting this season you should really have nothing to worry about as far as getting coronavirus from a deer.
