Hannibal Council Accepts Bid for Sale of CVB Building

The Hannibal City Council Tuesday night accepted a bid for the purchase of the building that is currently the home of the Hannibal Convention and Visitors’ Bureau at 505 North 3rd.

The approval of the $70,000 bid by the council came in spite of a recommendation by the CVB board to reject the bid.

The bid that was approved by the council came on the fourth time the city had advertised for bids since December.

The council had previously received a bid of $73,000 which was rejected, also on the recommendation of the CVB board.

The Convention and Visitors Bureau will soon be moving into its new building near the Hannibal Aquatic Center.
