The city of Hannibal continues to pass its annual safety evaluation with flying colors.

The city council learned Tuesday night that the city had scored 100 percent on its annual comprehensive risk management safety evaluation and audit for the ninth consecutive year.

The audit is conducted by the city’s insurance carrier.

The council also gave final readings to a request to rezone property at Munger Lane and Stardust Drive from one and two family to B-multiple family, and to a resolution to allow the Hannibal Fire Department to charge mitigation rates for emergency and non-emergency calls outside the Hannibal city limits.
