A Quincy woman is injured in a single vehicle crash on Illinois Highway 61 at Hancock County Road 2500 East just after 2 p.m. Saturday.

The State Police report 53 year old Cynthia Rossiter was eastbound when she swerved to avoid an animal in the road. Her Jeep ran off the road, struck an embankment and rolled over, coming to rest in a field.

Rossiter was flown to an area hospital for treatment.

 

A Keokuk woman suffers moderate injuries in a one car crash on Highway 136 west of Wayland in Clark County at 12:30 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports 70 year old Deborah Kelley was eastbound when her car ran off the road, struck an embankment and overturned.

Kelley was taken by Air Evac to Blessing Hospital in Quincy for treatment.

 

Two New London teens escape with minor injuries in a one car crash on Orchard Road south of Hannibal in Ralls County at 4:30 p.m. Friday.

The Highway Patrol reports a 16 year old juvenile male was northbound when he avoided a deer in the road by using the vehicle’s emergency brake, causing the car to run off the road and overturn, coming to rest on its top.

The juvenile and his passenger, 17 year old James Ali, were treated and released at the scene.
