Officials with the Barry Apple Festival announced on their Facebook page Tuesday that it was with a very heavy heart the decision had been made to cancel the 2020 festival, which had been scheduled for October 2nd through the 4th.

As with so many similar events, apple festival officials pointed to the availability of carnival rides, along with COVID related insurance and legal liability issues.

The committee also announced they will have their annual golf tournament fund raiser in August, the tradition of raffling off an apple festival quilt will take place, and there will be apple fritter sales, another tradition, in Barry Saturday, October 3rd.
