MT United Way Names 2022 Evening of Philanthropy Honorees
Another group of highly deserving individuals will be honored when the United Way of the Mark Twain Area hosts it's annual Evening of Philanthropy April 22.
The most recent honoree announcement came Tuesday, as Raymond and Janet Taylor were designated as the 2022 Philanthropic Couple.
The Taylor's give generously of their time and treasure, putting in thousands of hours of volunteer time at Hannibal Regional Healthcare, Maple Lawn Nursing Home, Big Creek Presbyterian Church, 4-H and more.
Previously announced honorees include 2022 Philanthropic Youth Madi Weatherford, the driving force behind Madi's Kindness Projects, which has benefited organizations from the Northeast Missouri Humane Society to the Child Advocacy Center to the Quincy School music programs.
The 2022 Philanthropic Individual is Brad Kurz. Along with his day job as an Edward Jones financial advisor, Brad finds time to serve on the boards of the Hannibal Regional Healthcare System, Hannibal Schools, Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce, Down Country and the Mark Twain Habitat for Humanity.
Vickie Witthaus will be honored with the Life-Long Philanthropy Award. Vickie's community service has ranged from babysitting for those involved in Narcotics Anonymous, making a sending pillows to servicemen and serving on the board of Birthday Blessings.
