With Adams County put on a warning list Friday because of a spike in COVID cases, the governor came to town to work with health department officials to offer support, supplies and testing to bring down the infection rate.

Health department officials announced during the briefing with the governor there were 13 new positive coronavirus cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases in Adams County to 340. 236 of those cases are considered active.

Governor Pritzker urged Adams County residents to wear a mask, follow state guidelines, to not go into businesses that seem crowded and keep six feet of physical distance.
