Fire Chief Joe Henning confirmed Wednesday that four fire department staff members have tested positive for COVID-19.

Henning says his department has worked with the health department to determine the best course of action to contain any potential spread of the virus within the department.

As a result of the positive cases, Henning says ten fire department staff members have been isolated per health department recommendations.

The chief reminds the public his personnel wear PPE’s when they respond to incidents requiring close interaction with the public, fire stations are decontaminated daily and crews are screened when they report to work to make sure they are asymptomatic.
