The Adams County Health Department is striving to expand accessibility to COVID vaccine.

Officials announced the health department would offer walk-in vaccine clinics at various locations around the community. These walk-in events would require no pre-registration.

The doses would be the single shot Johnson and Johnson vaccine for anyone 18 or older.

The first walk-in clinics are Friday at the Village Hall in Liberty at 9 a.m., Save A Lot at Locust in Quincy at 1 p.m. and Save A Lot on Jefferson in Quincy at 3:15 p.m.

The walk-in clinics are open to residents of Adams, Brown, Hancock, Pike or Schuyler counties in Illinois.
