Wynonna Judd has performed for our troops many times on USO tours, so her 2010 appearance on Army Wives wasn't that much of a stretch.

Judd already had plenty of television experience under her belt; she had guest-starred on Touched by an Angel and Hope & Faith, and appeared as herself on Kath & Kim previously. She played herself again on an episode of Army Wives titled "Evasive Maneuvers," which aired on May 16, 2010.

The episode's main plot centers on a character named Marisol Evans, who moves to Fort Marshall hiding a terrible secret. As the episode progresses, rumors of domestic violence in her home lead to a very heavy message about the importance of seeking help if you're in an abusive relationship.

Judd's sub-plot involves a USO concert arranged by two of the show's main characters, Claudia Joy and Pamela. Judd came to the base and performed two songs for the episode. The first was a rousing cover version of "If the House Is Rockin'," and the second was a powerful ballad, "I Will Be," whose uplifting theme of victory over life's troubles inspires the character of Marisol to face her abusive relationship. Judd also appeared in some brief offstage scenes, meeting the organizers of the concert and volunteers in the scene above.

Wynonna taped a public service announcement in conjunction with the episode, encouraging victims and their loved ones to seek help.
