A Quincy woman who was apparently kidnapped last weekend has been found safe, but her alleged kidnapper is still on the loose.

Quincy Police report 36 year old Tabitha Campbell was found Wednesday evening in Marked Tree, Arkansas, which is northwest of Memphis, Tennessee where she had been last seen.

Campbell was evaluated by medical personnel in Arkansas and released. She is on her back to Quincy.

The man who is alleged to have taken her against her will from the Welcome Inn in Quincy last Saturday, 39 year old Mario Mason, has not yet been located.

He was last seen in Arkansas in a stolen white SUV with Illinois plates. He is wanted in Quincy for kidnapping and aggravated domestic battery.

A Memphis, Tennessee man is wanted in connection with the possible kidnapping of a Quincy woman.

Quincy Police responded about 4 p.m. Monday to a report of the possible kidnapping over the weekend of 36 year old Tabitha Campbell of Quincy.

An investigation led to a room at the Welcome Inn, where evidence was found pointing to an alleged aggravated domestic battery and kidnapping occurring Saturday.

It’s believed Campbell was taken against her will in a stolen vehicle by 39 year old Mario Mason of the Memphis, Tennessee area.

Memphis Police report they spotted the stolen vehicle about 1 p.m. Tuesday, but were unable to stop Mason.

Campbell has not been heard from since Monday afternoon.

A warrant has been issued for Mason for aggravated domestic assault and kidnapping.
