No surprise, Galena and Branson top the list for the best Christmas towns to visit for the entire family. According to purewow.com, both towns made the top 39 best towns to Christmas. Branson tops the list at number 10 and Galena tops at number 20.

Galena is straight out of a Hallmark Movie. It has everything for the holidays, charm, small local shops, decorations throughout the town, and even horse-drawn wagon rides. Very romantic for those who want to propose this time of year, just saying. I have never been to Galena, but everything that I have seen makes me want to take a weekend trip.

I am shocked that you can't see Branson from the Tri-States. Every inch of that town is covered in twinkling lights and tinsel. It's no reason that this made the top 10 of best Christmas towns. I have never been to Branson around Christmas time, but I would love to see it all decorated for the holidays.

St. Louis didn't make the list but should be, there are so many options t get to the city and enjoy holiday events and Christmas lights.
