Two Monroe County Residents Die of Gunshot Wounds
Two Monroe County residents were shot to death Thursday night.

Monroe County Chief Deputy Joe Colston reports deputies responded to a report of possible shooting victims at a residence on Route ZZ in Santa Fe.
Deputies arrived to find 49 year old Ami Allison Clayton and 49 year old Jewell William Gardner in the residence, both dead of apparent gunshot wounds.
A firearm was recovered at the scene. No evidence was discovered indicating anyone outside the home was involved in the incident.
The shootings remain under investigation by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
