Quincy Man Arrested on Vehicle Burglary Charges

An investigation into a series of vehicle burglaries leads to an arrest early Friday morning.

Quincy Police had received numerous reports of vehicle burglaries in the northeast, northwest and central parts of the city in the month of October.

An investigation by officers and QPD’s Street Crimes Unit resulted in the arrest of 31 year old David Deakle at a residence in the 500 block of North 7th Street around 4 a.m. Friday.

Deakle is in the Adams County Jail for burglary of a motor vehicle and a failure to appear warrant for possession of meth.

The investigation into the burglaries continues and more charges are pending.
