Quincy Woman Sentenced on Child Pornography Charges
A Quincy woman has been sentenced after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.
In Adams County Circuit Court Wednesday, 30 year old Ashley Toohey pleaded guilty to three counts of Possession of Child Pornography.
Toohey was sentenced to three years each in prison on two of the counts and four years on third, with the sentences to be served consecutively.
As part of a plea deal, four additional counts of child pornography were dropped.
Also, Toohey will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of her life.
Toohey's arrest last May came at the end of an eight month investigation by Quincy Police.
In September of 2020, Facebook flagged an account for possible child exploitive material.
The execution of multiple search warrants took place on various social media and internet related entities, leading to Toohey's arrest on May 25, 2021.
At the time of her arrest, Toohey was out on bond on two separate felony cases, Possession of Methamphetamine and Forgery.
