Quincy City Council Approves FY 2022 Budget, Riverfront Plan
The Quincy City Council approved the city’s Fiscal Year 2022 budget Monday night.
On a 12-1 vote, the council okayed the $39 million dollar spending plan, reported to be a balanced budget without relying on federal relief.
Alderman Jeff Bergman cast the lone dissenting vote, saying the budget doesn’t do enough to address understaffing in the city’s central services department.
The council Monday night also approved the Quincy Riverfront Master Plan, following the lead of the Quincy Park District and the Adams County Board.
