It has taken some tweaks and planning, but the Hannibal YMCA is now open with some restrictions and safety precautions for the COVID pandemic.

In this phase one of reopening, all staff and Y members will have temperature checks before entering the building. Everyone is required to wash their hands as they come in and when they leave.  Only members over the age of 16 are allowed to use the facilities for now.

The hours are also modified.  Monday through Friday, the Hannibal Y is open from 5 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday hours are 6:15 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Sunday the hours are 1:15 p.m.-5 p.m.

You'll notice other changes.  The pool will only be open for lap swimming.  The sauna and hot tub will be closed.  Only some of the cardio and weight equipment will be available to allow for social distancing.  Emergency childcare will still be offered. The Y is also offering special hours for senior citizens and at-risk members.  Click here for a full list of guidelines now in place at the Hannibal YMCA.

Phase 2 of the reopening plan should be announced at the end of May.
