The YMCA of Hannibal has once again brought back the "Meals on the Go" program, it is a completely FREE program where kids under the age of 18 can receive food for the week. Each kid who gets signed up for Meals on the Go will receive 7 breakfasts, 7 lunches, 7 dinners, and 7 snacks! You have to register for this program each week on the YMCA of Hannibal's website (CLICK HERE). And each week you can pick up your box full of the weeks worth of meals at the Park United Methodist Church's parking lot which is right next door to the Hannibal YMCA. So step 1 is to register your child, Step 2 is to pick up that box on Saturday mornings at the Church between 9am and 11am. Its that simple, and the only real restriction is that it is limited to 3 boxes of food a week per family.

This Meals on the Go program goes all the way through the end of September and if you don't have internet access to register you can call to get your child registered, just call 573-221-0586.

This program may not apply to you, but I'm sure it does apply to someone in the Hannibal area that you know. People are still struggling to put food on the table, and with a program like this available there should be no reason kids go hungry this summer! So please help us spread the word to make sure kids are eating this summer when they are not in school.
