Growing up in the Midwest, I'm used to severe thunderstorms. However, if Frankie MacDonald is correct, Missouri may see storms that bring "chain lightning" to the state this week.

For reference, here's the official National Weather Service forecast for Tuesday overnight:

A chance of rain before 10pm, then a chance of rain and thunderstorms between 10pm and 1am, then rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 1am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 56. South wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

It's curious that they left "chain lightning" out. Perhaps they were trying not to scare us.
