Quincy Medical Group said there will be a Bridge the Gap race for both in-person and virtual participates.

The 21st Annual Bridge the Gap to Health Race will take place on May 15, 2021. In its 21st year, the well-know walk/run (which has raised over $800,000) will be available for both in-person and virtual run/walk this year. Postponed last year to to the pandemic, QMG is happy to announce this years race and looking forward to celebrating 21 years of the race. The race was developed by QMG physicians, when they noticed some of their patients could not afford life-saving medications.

The route this year will look a little different due to the upcoming construction on the Memorial Bridge. This year, runners and walkers will see a beautiful scenic route through Quincy's downtown, including Maine Street. When you register for this years race, you will be able to choose from a selection of staggered race times to so that all COVID-19 guidelines are met.

The 2020 County Health Rankings values were calculated using mortality counts from the 2016-2018 National Center for Health Statistics.
