Body of Hancock County Woman Found July 7 Identified

The woman whose body was found in Hancock County last week has been identified.

The Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation was called in by the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office July 7th to assist in an investigation of the death of a 37 year old woman whose body was found in Tioga.

The woman has been identified as Melissa Bruner of Carthage.

Police say there is no indication of foul play at this time.

The official cause and manner of death will be determined once a final autopsy and toxicology report are in.

The investigation into the death continues.
