The video which was posted to YouTube by the channel CharlieBo313 has amassed over 3.3 million views on the platform and you can see why it has been watched so much after you watch it. After watching the video I became more curious about the O Block so I found a Wikipedia article on it, in the article they say...

"Parkway Garden Homes, locally known as O-Block or WIIIC City, is a low-income apartment complex located in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side of Chicago, Illinois... early residents included former First Lady Michelle Obama, and recent residents include rappers Chief Keef and King Von...In recent years, however, the complex has become the center of one of Chicago's most violent blocks."

I also found out that according to thesource.com that O Block has recently sold...

"While the price nor the buyer has been revealed, the apartment complex was sold before a bid could be made. According to Saycheese TV, O-Block is likely to fall to the gentrification model. It is going to be redeveloped and highly overpriced for current residents."

Now according to the Wikipedia article, the buildings themselves are on the National Register of Historic Places so I don't know if they will be allowed to tear them down. As a person who is from Chicago, I hate to see neighborhoods being gentrified and no longer affordable for the people who currently call it home but if this truly is one of the most violent areas in the country then maybe it does need an overhaul, a reset, and a chance to break that mold, what do you think?

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
