KSDK shared a short video this morning with the following explanation:

The black bear was spotted at 10 a.m. Saturday morning. It was last seen heading toward George Winter Park.

Based on my many times watching Yogi Bear as a kid, I'd have to guess someone left a picnic basket out somewhere near Fenton. By the way, Fenton is a town in St. Louis County.

We were told by Missouri Department of Conservation to watch out for bears since their population in the state is increasing. They weren't wrong. They even put together a helpful map to see where bears have been sighted recently or to report your own. As of this morning, you can add Fenton, Missouri to that map.
