Rock icon Peter Frampton is preparing to hit the road for his Farewell Tour this summer, and it sounds like Tim McGraw can't wait for the show -- if he can get tickets, that is. On Facebook, Frampton recently shared a promo video for his summer trek, co-starring the country singer, who ain't too proud to beg for passes for him and his crew.

The humorous clip find McGraw and Frampton on the phone together, with McGraw trying to act casual as he reminds Frampton of who he is. "Oh! Aren't you married to Faith Hill?" Frampton interjects, before offering McGraw a pair of tickets.

"Two? Okay, well -- I'll see what I can do about -- maybe, I guess -- maybe I can get my mom to buy a couple," McGraw stutters. He then tries one more trick: "You know, I'm not a great guitar player, but, I mean, "Baby, I Love Your Way" -- I mean, how hard can it be? Think I can have a shot at that?"

Frampton, naturally, laughs and hangs up on him.

McGraw and Frampton have crossed paths in the past: At CMT's 2013 Artists of the Year ceremony, Frampton and Lady Antebellum helped honor McGraw with a performance of McGraw, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban's big hit "Highway Don't Care." McGraw's drummer, Shawn Fitchter, has also played with Frampton as well.

Frampton's Farewell Tour will begin in late June, with a Nashville stop scheduled, at the city's Ascend Amphitheater, on June 27. The legendary guitarist recently revealed that he has inclusion body myositis, a rare disease that causes a person's muscles to slowly weaken, which is pulling him off the road.

Frampton was diagnosed with inclusion body myositis after an onstage fall about three and a half years ago, he told CBS in late February, and while the disease has gradually progressed in the time since, he especially began to feel its effects in the fall of 2018.

"I'm a perfectionist and I do not want to go out there and feel like, 'Oh I can't, this isn't good.' That would be a nightmare for me," Frampton admits. "I've been playing guitar for 60 years -- started when I was eight, and now I'm 68. So, I've had a very good run."
