If you're an adrenaline junkie who loves roller coaster, you will want to ride these historic coasters in the Illinois, Missouri and Iowa.

I am NOT a roller coaster junkie; I mean I have been on them but they are not my favorite. My first coaster I rode when I was 18 and I was on my senior high school trip and was basically pressured into riding the Mamba (in Kansas City). I hated every second of it.

But, for those of you who enjoy getting twisted and turned upside down, and feel like you’re flying your gonna wanna try these old coasters not far from the Tri-States.

Illinois

One of the oldest coasters in Illinois is called the Little Dipper and can be found at Six Flags Great America. It's only 700 feet long and 28 feet high. Now this one is not bad; I would ride this coaster. It's a simple, small, and no loops, upside down turns, so I think I can handle that.

Missouri

No it's not The Screaming Eagle (although they should be are mascot) or the Ninja, but the oldest coaster in Missouri is The Mine Train. Now, I've been on this one and it's not bad, again no upside-down turns, loops, or big drops, but it's got some speed to it.  It's 2,500 long, and 32 feet high, there is a 41-foot drop, but nothing to crazy. It tops speed at 37 mph, which I thought the coaster was much faster.

Iowa

The Legend Coaster located at Arnolds Park, is not only the oldest coaster in the state, but the 18th oldest coaster in the entire world. This wood coaster was designed and built in 1931, and has been renamed three times, according to RCDB.
