A traffic stop Friday led to the arrest of two Dallas City residents on meth charges.
Hancock County Sheriff Travis Duffy reports deputies made the stop just before 1:30 p.m. Friday.

A passenger in the car, 44 year old Billy Dewein, had an outstanding warrant for probation violation related to methamphetamine.

A search found that both Dewein and the driver, 27 year old Tosha Newman, were in possession of meth.

Both were taken to the Hancock County Jail, where Dewein was held on the warrant, and Newman was released on a recognizance bond after her initial court appearance.
