Coming from Texas, Mahomes is a huge Whataburger fan, and there are no restaurants close to Kansas City for him to enjoy one of his favorite burgers. Well, that's all about to change. Within the next few years, there will be close to 30 chain restaurants coming to Missouri and Kansas thanks to Mahomes.

Of course, there will be some locations in Kansas City, but other confirmed locations include Wichita, Kansas, and St. Joseph, Missouri, with more being announced throughout the next few years. The locations in Kansas City should be open by the end of the year.

The restaurants will arrive over the course of the next seven years and the first two will open in Kansas City in the latter half of 2022.

The chain is based in San Antonio, Texas, and was founded in 1950, currently, there are over 600 restaurants in Texas and over 100 in New Mexico. The next time I am in Kansas City and there is a Whataburger open I might have to stop by and try these famous burgers. I still need to travel to California for an In-N-Out Burger too.
