The St. Louis Cardinals have announced the cancellation of the "Welcome Back St. Louis" concert due to what they are calling "unforeseen circumstances"

According to the St. Louis Cardinals website the massive concert called "Welcome Back St. Louis" with headliner Zac Brown Band and special guest Sam Hunt has officially been cancelled. The concert was set to take place at Busch Stadium, and on the website they say...

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, the August 13th Welcome Back STL concert with Zac Brown Band and Sam Hunt has been cancelled. Tickets purchased online through cardinals.com/welcomebackstl, by phone, or with a credit card at Busch Stadium ticket windows will be automatically refunded. Tickets purchased at the Busch Stadium ticket windows with cash must be returned to receive a refund. We regret any inconvenience this change may have caused."

The timing of this cancellation also comes with a press release from the St. Louis Cardinals saying that Masks will need to be worn entering games, exiting games, and anytime an individual is "Inside" the press release says...

" In accordance with the City of St. Louis’ mask mandate that went into effect on Monday, July 26, the St. Louis Cardinals have updated their existing health and safety protocols.  All fans will be asked to wear a mask when entering or circulating the five indoor ticketed club areas, plus the Official Team Store and the Cardinals Authentics Shop at Busch Stadium.  The five indoor club areas include the Cardinals Club, Redbird Club, UMB Champions Club, National Car Rental Club, and Perficient Red Jacket Club.  Fans do not have to wear masks when actively eating or drinking inside the clubs or in the outdoor seating portions of those clubs."

Now the press release goes on to say that fans will also need masks inside of Ballpark Village, and that the team will provide masks for anyone trying to enter the game. For the FULL list of health and safety regulations from Busch Stadium click here!
