On the Prowl – American Red Wolves Have Invaded the St. Louis Zoo
Next time you go to the St. Louis Zoo, you'll something new. Actually, it's a bunch of new things as a pack of American Red Wolves are now on the prowl there. Don't worry. It's actually a good thing.
The St. Louis Zoo announced today on Facebook and in a blog post that they have brought a pack of American Red Wolves into their zoo family. The reason why is terrifying. They say that these American Red Wolves are critically endangered saying there "are less than twenty American red wolves in the wild".
The St. Louis Zoo has nine of these rare wolves and they say some of their names are "RJ, Witchhazel, Bandit, and Ladybird". They've shared some pics and video of these wolves in their new St. Louis home.
If you'd like to take the family to see these critically-endangered wolves, they are prowling in the Saint Louis Zoo Sears Lehmann, Jr. Wildlife Reserve. While conservationist efforts are working to restore these precious animals to the wild, you can now see them and get a better understanding of what these rare animals are all about at the St. Louis Zoo.
