Missouri Bakery Plant to Close, Leaving 345 Without Jobs

The state of Missouri has been warned by a major bakery plant that the facility will be closing which will result in job loss for 345 employees.

This bulletin was just shared by the state of Missouri Jobs site which includes a WARN notice submitted by Nature's Bakery located at 8600 Pershall Road in Hazelwood, Missouri that will affect 345 workers. It said the following:

"Nature’s Bakery is permanently closing its plant located in Hazelwood, Missouri, at the following address: Nature’s Bakery, LLC 8860 Pershall Road Hazelwood, MO 63042 Manufacturing is being transferred to other Nature’s Bakery facilities"

"The Nature’s Bakery facility will continue to operate through 2026, and will permanently close in September of 2027 at which time all remaining employees will be affected. All Nature’s Bakery employees have been notified of the facility permanent closure and have been notified of their respective employment end dates."

The notice submitted to the state of Missouri says employees at this Hazelwood facility can apply for other positions within the company which includes the parent company, Mars Incorporated. The good news is that the plant won't close for another year which hopefully gives all of these workers the opportunity to find new jobs before this plant closes its doors.
