UPDATE: Hannibal Police Investigate Fatal Shooting

UPDATE: A 45 year old Hannibal man has died as the result of a shooting incident Thursday night. He was pronounced dead by Marion County Coroner Richard Jones about 10:15 p.m. The victim's name has not been released. An autopsy will be performed Monday.

Hannibal Police are investigating an apparent shooting incident that took place Thursday night.

Officers were called to the 2100 block of Gordon at 9:17 p.m. Thursday on a report of a shooting.

They arrived to find a 45 year old male who had been shot. He was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital for treatment.

Police say this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the general public.
