A Hannibal man is in the Marion County Jail on a variety of charges in connection with a Sunday morning incident.

Hannibal Police report officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Grand Avenue on a report of a disturbance about 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers learned a 31 year old male had been stabbed at a residence in the 1500 block of Hill Street. He was taken to Hannibal Regional for treatment.

An investigation led to the arrest of 40 year old James Ivey, Jr.

He was charged Monday with first degree assault, armed criminal action, second degree burglary and tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution.

Ivey remains in the Marion County Jail on $100,000 cash only bond.
