Hannibal Man Arrested on Evidence Tampering, Firearms Charges
A Hannibal man has been charged with drug and firearms violations following a search of his residence Friday.
Hannibal Police officers assigned to the Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad conducted a search warrant for narcotics at 2216 Grace Street Friday.
When officers entered the home, 32 year old Anthony Swan is alleged to have tried to destroy capsules filled with a substance believed to be heroin. A handgun, pills believed to be ecstasy and items consistent with the sale of narcotics were found in the residence.
Swan is in the Marion County Jail for tampering with physical evidence and unlawful possession of a firearm.
He is being held on $50,000 bond.
