I know I know, its only January, but with the cold great weather we've been having, its nice to think of warmer places. If you are like me and don't have a ton of money to take a REAL vacation, there are places not to far from Quincy that are worth visiting this year.

These are some places that are somewhat close to Quincy and the Tri-State area if your looking to get away, but not travel to far from home.
- Mount Carroll (3 1/2 hours from Quincy)
Known as a "Perfectly Midwestern" town it is filled with history and top notch hospitality.
- Woodstock (4 hrs and 45 minutes from Quincy)
This little town offers beautiful scenery which you can see over weekends during one of their many music festivals.
- Nauvoo (Under an hr from Quincy)
Many of us have been to Nauvoo to see many of their historical sites. A great place to take the family for a tour and entertainment.
- Galena (3 hrs and 45 minutes from Quincy)
