The American Red Cross is putting out the call for blood donors to resupply the stock that has dwindled over the summer. You can help today, Monday Aug. 17, at a blood drive in Hannibal co-sponsored by Y101 Radio. You may also find out if you've been exposed to COVID-19 because the Red Cross is now testing for antibodies.

The Rock and Roll Up Your Sleeve Blood Drive runs today from 11:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post 55 Lounge at 3819 Route MM in Hannibal.

Giving blood is a faster process than it has ever been. Just make an appointment and you'll be issued a RapidPass which will save you up to 15 minutes in the process. It's not too late to make an appointment for today's drive. Just call 1-800-RED CROSS or go to redcrossblood.org.

Today's blood drive is co-sponsored by Y101 and The Hannibal High School Student Council. Donors will get a free t-shirt and a $5 Amazon gift card. Food will be provided.

As we reported last week, the Red Cross also has an emergency need for blood plasma.
