The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois announced Wednesday the indictments of three former executives and consultants for ComEd, along with 73 year old Michael McClain of Quincy, who served as a lobbyist and consultant for ComEd and served in the Illinois House in the 70s and early 80s.

The four are charged with bribery conspiracy, bribery and willfully falsifying ComEd books and records.

McClain is alleged to have used influence to have an individual appointed to ComEd’s Board of Directors at the request of a legislator identified in the indictment as Public Official A, believed to be Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan.
