
Ford Investing $91 Million, Adding 1,100 Jobs to Missouri Plant
It looks like there is about to be a big influx of new jobs in Missouri. Multiple sources reporting that Ford is investing $91 million dollars and adding 1,100 jobs to their Kansas City, Missouri assembly plant.

Barrons is reporting that Ford is adding jobs and spending more money in an attempt to win the electric vehicle marketplace to the tune of $3.7 billion dollars. The Detroit News says that $91 million dollars of that will be put toward adding a third shift to the Kansas City, Missouri assembly plant. Here are the details they shared:
And in Missouri, Ford will invest $95 million and add 1,100 jobs to add a third shift at its Kansas City Assembly Plant to boost production of the Transit commercial van and its all-electric counterpart, the E-Transit.
The Detroit News also said that all jobs to be added would be union jobs.
That's potentially a big boost to the economy of the western part of Missouri.
