Fire crews from Stone County, Missouri responded to a report of a fire at Silver Dollar City in the Branson area just before 1 p.m. Thursday.

Thankfully, the park plans to be open for business as usual Friday.

In a Facebook post, SDC officials reported the fire was discovered about 12:45 p.m. Thursday, about 15 minutes before the park was to open for the day.

Crews from the South Stone County Fire Protection District responded quickly, getting the blaze under control in about an hour.

The area affected by the fire was contained to three buildings, containing Heartland Home Furnishing's, a woodworking shop, and Flossie's Fried Fancies, which sells pork rinds.

If you know the layout of Silver Dollar City, those shops are in the lower western portion of the park. If you're in the Main Street area and you want to get to the Opera House, you would walk past those shops.

Even though there were patrons on the property, most of the park was closed to public access at the time of the fire. The park was shut down Thursday.

No word yet on the cause of the fire.

Silver Dollar City is wrapping up the second week of its Old Time Christmas Celebration, which runs through the end of December.
