I'm not a big Jeopardy! fan, it's a love/hate relationship, but in doing some research I found a few clues that have been asked on the trivia show. Let's test your skills.

The category is U.S Tourism and the clue...You can reach this town's convention & visitors bureau by calling 1-TOMANDHUCK...do you know the answer? If you answered, what is Hannibal, Missouri you are correct. The Tri-States' has been featured on Jeopardy! a few times, but Hannibal more than Quincy (no surprise). Hannibal has a lot more pop culture, history, and famous people from the area.

When I do watch the game show, and it's not often, I don't feel that smart at all. Except if there are categories related to music, pop culture, some history, or entertainment than I'm golden. I would never be able to make it on that show unless they had a team's version. However, there have been a few local constantans that have made it on the show in the past.

  • Lucas Bergman from Quincy was a 1998 College Championship Quarterfinalist: $2,500 - he appeared on show #3165 which aired on May 8, 1998.
  • Omar Mahmood was on season 14 show #3082 which aired on January 13, 1998 he lost all of his earnings on Final Jeopardy!
  • Jason Washington from Quincy was on season 31 show #6913 which aired on October 08, 2014 and won $200.
  • Bob Winthrop from Hannibal was a part of the 1988 Senior Tournament Quarterfinalist show #863 which aired on May 5, 1988 and he earned $1.000.

There have also been clues about the states (Illinois & Missouri) on the show. Stacker.com put together a list of clues from each state, let's see how good  you are.

Illinois:

The first public one of these schools began in Illinois in 1901 for students who wanted to pursue higher education in their home area.

Answer: Community college

Missouri:

With more than 40 theaters and 100 live shows, this city calls itself the "live music show capital of the world.”

Answer: Branson

Pretty awesome to have the Tri-States' represented in both contestants and clues. So, what clues made it onto the show.
