Downtown Quincy Will Light Up Once Again This Holiday Season
I just love this time of year, everyone gets in the holiday spirit by decorating their houses and just enjoying everything the holidays are all about. The District invites you to light up the park celebration to kick off the holidays in downtown Quincy.
Light the Park is set for November 27th at 6 PM in Washington Park. The community is invited to the park for hot chocolate, cookies, and the jolly man himself Santa, and Mrs. Claus will be there. This is a great way to kick off the holiday season and it's pretty neat to visit and look at. Last year this the District had the ceremony, but people stayed in their cars and drove around the square to see holiday characters, and the park all lit up. This year, people can enjoy being in the park and the lights (that have already started being hung in the park).
The District does this every holiday season to help kick off the holiday season for Downtown Quincy. There are so many great businesses to shop at in Downtown Quincy, this event gives people a chance to see what the downtown area has to offer.
Every tree is decorated with lights with a big light display set in the middle of the fountain, it truly is a sight to see. My family and I make a visit to Washington Park a few times during the season. Bring your family out to the fun free event to kick off the holiday season.
