Clarksville Man Misses Marijuana Trial Setting
Authorities say a warrant is to be issued after a Clarksville man failed to appear for trial setting in his case.
74-year-old William Joseph McMurtrey Jr. is accused of having a large stash of marijuana at his residence. He is accused of felony distribution of a controlled substance.
Authorities say they found 114 pounds of marijuana and almost 34-thousand dollars of cash at the suspect’s home in September 2013. Another 52 pounds of pot that he allegedly sold also was recovered.
McMurtrey is the former owner of a Clarksville motel and the Clarksville Skylift property.
