Chicago's massive country music and BBQ festival has been postponed to 2021.

Having lived in Chicago for years and years before moving to Quincy last year, I can tell you that Country Music was growing massively in the third largest city in America, well sadly that growth will be stalled until 2021 due to the coronavirus. The Windy City Smokeout, which is one of Chicago's largest Country Music and BBQ Festivals has been postponed this year. But the festival has already announced on their Facebook page, that they are on schedule for next year, announcing that the Windy City Smokeout will take place July 9th through the 11th in 2021. They also went on to say in their Facebook post...

"...Our buddies Darius Rucker, Dierks Bentley, and Jon Pardi, will return as our festival headliners."

They also talk about how to, and when to contact them for refunds if you already purchased tickets. To read the full statement about the postponement of the Windy City Smokeout, and their ticket information for refunds click here!

Man this one is a real punch to the gut being postponed until 2021. As a born and raised Chicagoan who is now living in the Tri-States, I always look for certain events to take a couple days off and go back up to enjoy the city I love so much, and this was one of them. At this point I guess I will just be excited if I can go up to Chicago at all this summer even to visit friends and eat at a couple of my favorite restaurants. Either way I can't wait until July 2021 to get back to this event!
