Two people suffer serious injuries after their motorcycle collides with a car on Highway 96.  Adams County Sheriff’s Deputies and EMS rushed to the scene near White Oak Road at 3:30 p.m. Sunday. Deputies say a Hannibal driver pulled off Highway 96 into a private drive to use a cell phone.  After completing her call, she did a three point turn and reentered the roadway.  That’s when her SUV struck a motorcycle operated by a Plainville man.

The motorcyclist and a female passenger from Hannibal were seriously injured and taken to Blessing Hospital.  The female passenger is now listed in critical condition.  Neither was wearing a helmet according to the report.

The SUV driver is charged with Failure to Yield.   The motorcyclist was charged with operating an uninsured vehicle and violation license classification. The names of the crash victims were not released in the initial report.  The investigation continues.
