New Power Line Takes Shape

For more than a year now, construction crews have been clearing foundations, pouring footings, and standing up the new metal poles in preparation for a new power line in eastern Adams and western Pike Counties.

Now we can see a line of poles from the south side of Quincy all the way to the IL River. As the poles are stood up, huge pulleys are attached to the bottom of the insulators, in preparation for wire-pulling.

No word yet on the completion date for the project.
