COVID-19 has shut down so many of the major events this year, from concerts, to county fairs, and everything in between. Coronavirus may have shut down gathering for a car show, but it wont shut down the Tri-State Lugnuts from doing whatever they can to raise money for the Veterans!

The Tri-State Lugnuts Car Club posted on their Facebook page that even though the 21st annual Endless Summer Car Show had to be canceled due to coronavirus concerns, they are still going to do something to raise money for the Veterans. They are hosting a Car Cruise on Sunday Sept. 13th at the Illinois Veterans home to raise money, they say on their Facebook page...

"But we will honor our Veterans with a cruise/parade through the Illinois Veteran’s Home at 1 p.m. We will be taking donations for the Vet’s Activity Fund. We we have a person with a bucket. Please meet us at 12:45 p.m. Hollister-Whitney parking lot, 2603 N. 24th St. Quincy, IL. We will cruise 2 parade laps thru IVH and Hammond Hall. Please join us! ALL are welcome!"

I have spoken with the head of the Tri-State Lugnuts who said that if you can't make it out to the Illinois Veterans Home this weekend for the cruise, you can still donate to the Vets Activity Fund by sending a check to Tri-State Lugnuts and mail it to 4833 Sunview Dr. Quincy, IL 62305. The Tri-State Lugnuts have raised over $100,000 for the Illinois Veterans Home over the years of doing this Endless Summer Car Show.
