Canton Man Sentenced on Federal Firearms Charges
A Lewis County man has been sentenced on federal firearms charges.
In federal district court in St. Louis Wednesday, 37 year old Marcus Mays of Canton was sentenced to 37 months in prison after pleading guilty to one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
In August of 2018, an investigation by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office resulted in the execution of a search warrant at Mays’ home. The search revealed two stolen firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine, marijuana and $1,100 cash.
Mays was already a convicted felon at the time of the investigation.
