Art Made Easy in Hannibal

A visit to an art gallery can be good for the soul. In Hannibal, the Arts Council makes it easy to safely see local art in person with social distancing. If you don't feel comfortable going out, you can bring the art to your home by logging into the online gallery.

The current exhibits at the Hannibal Arts Council include local artist and teacher James Zimmerman with paintings inspired by urban influence. You'll also find mixed media creations by Newark artist Mary Jo Kattleman, canoe paddles created by Shelbyville craftsman Ryan Tonnies and work submitted for an open show called Holy Cow.

The gallery exhibit lasts until September 12, but you should check in often because the art work is constantly added to and changed over with new exhibits. The Hannibal Arts Council is located at 105 S. Main Street.  HAC Gallery hours are from 9:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Saturday hours are 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.  The gallery is closed Tuesdays and Sundays.
