There were 42 new cases of coronavirus and one COVID related death reported by health department officials in northeast Missouri and western Illinois Monday.

The Marion County Health Department reported 20 new COVID cases, along with one additional death.

The Marion County case total is now 3,529, with 77 active, 12 hospitalized and now 64 deaths.

Knox County reported nine new cases since Friday. Their case total is now 385, with 26 active and three deaths.

The Ralls County Health Department reported seven new COVID cases since Friday, running their case total to 1,020, with 12 active, one hospitalized and 14 deaths.

Health department officials in Clark, Lewis and Pike County, Illinois each reported two new coronavirus cases Monday.

The Clark County case total is now 700, with 13 active and 21 deaths.

In Pike County there have been 1,635 total COVID cases, with 22 active, four hospitalized and 47 deaths.

There have been 1,068 total cases in Lewis County, with 11 active and 20 deaths.
