Two Illinois Residents Killed in Pike County, MO Motorcycle Crash

Two southern Illinois residents are dead following a motorcycle crash late Sunday morning in Pike County, Missouri.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says a motorcycle operated by 62-year-old Bruce Pittman of Flora went off Pike County Route W north of Pike County Road 230 at 11:55 Sunday morning. The cycle went down a hill and hit a tree. Pittman was life flighted to Mercy Hospital in St Louis where he was pronounced dead.

A passenger, 54-year-old Karen Halsey of Flora, was pronounced dead at the scene by Pike County Deputy Coroner Jay Baker.
